Rate‑of‑rise heat detectors monitor how quickly the temperature is increasing, not just the absolute temperature. They sound an alarm when temperature rises faster than a set rate (e.g. 12 °C/min). This allows detection of rapidly developing fire conditions even if absolute temperature remains below fixed threshold. Often used in conjunction with fixed temperature detectors for more comprehensive coverage. Suitable for industrial settings, kitchens, garages, or other risk zones where fire might develop rapidly.
